从事生物海洋学和海洋微型生物生态学，侧重于细菌、病毒在海洋氮元素生物地球化学循环作用等方面。在领域内权威期刊共发表论文十余篇，主持国家自然科学基金、中国博士后科学资金面上项目等课题。
