研究方向和研究成果:

胚胎发育过程中细胞间相互协调的分子生物学与生物物理学机制。利用果蝇囊胚、果蝇羊浆膜细胞、海鞘脊索、水螅等为实验模型,通过分子遗传学、生物化学、显微成像和定量分析等手段,研究细胞周期、细胞骨架、细胞连接在胚胎发育过程中的动态变化及其调控过程。研究结果相继发表在Current BiologyJournal of cell scienceDevelopmentBiophysical JournalAngewandte ChemieEMBO Rep等国际主流期刊。

Research focus:

In order to form complex tissue architecture, the participating cells need to coordinate with each other. How it is achieved is a fundamental question in developmental biology. Using Drosophila, Ciona and hydra embryo as model systems, we are applying biochemical and molecular genetic approaches in combination with quantitative analysis and biophysical modeling to dissect the molecular mechanism of cell-cell communication during morphogenesis. Specifically, we are interested in the following questions: How is cell cycle regulation embedded in developmental program? How do cells communicate with each other via mechano-chemical signal transduction?  How are the material properties of living cells regulated and how do they contribute to embryogenesis?
